Tonight it was 311’s turn to take the stage before the Dirty Heads , and after such a powerful set by The interrupters, it is a good thing that they started their set off in full force throwing hit after hit at an audience that just couldn’t get enough .
To put this in perspective, 311 has been touring relentlessly for the past 20 years or so, (https://www.concertarchives.org/bands/311?page=1 )thing that in one hand makes it obvious they had plenty of time to perfect their craft, but in the other hand it also shows how much craftsmanship they posses in order to hold onto their audience this long, packing venue after venue, a decade after the next. 311 has proved to be a pretty timeless band capable of delivering countless night of magic tour after tour.
Tonight they delivered a set that was as visually stunning as it was fun and contagiously charismatic.
Hexum led a 15 song singalong with the crowd that roared straight through the sky and marked the peek of summer fun in San Diego.
One sure highlight of the night was The Interrupters joining them on stage for “Good Feeling” and the iconic vocal takeover during both Amber and Down.
